I’m a complete newbie. I can only assume that most wanna-be-painters, like myself, start out the same way I did – buy a cheap painting kit from a local crafting outlet and give it a go. I found that after several painting tutorials I discovered I was missing a few essentials from my toolkit. Apparently there are critical paint colours, and a miriad paper varieties, and of course, a multitude of paint brushes.

Today I added 2, 10, and 15 round watercolour brushes to my kit and could not wait to compare the results of using the larger brush to create a poppy. I look forward to many more experiments.
